Promote your job vacancies and talk to up to 700 candidates at the Torbay Jobs Fair.
The Jobs Fair is at the Riviera International Conference Centre, Torquay on Friday 13 March. The event is one of the most popular ways to recruit staff.
Midas Construction, The Imperial Torquay and Clientbase Fulfilment are some of the businesses who will be recruiting on the day.
Councillor Swithin Long, Torbay Council Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, Tourism and Housing, said: “This event continues to grow and delivers excellent outcomes for local businesses and people looking for a new job in Torbay. One of Torbay Council’s priorities is to tackle poverty and events like the jobs fair helps with this.
“To date, the Jobs Fair has helped generate over 600 job interviews, matching job vacancies with skills to create jobs outcomes. The event welcomes businesses across all sectors and we are looking forward to seeing more of Torbay’s growing businesses get involved.”
Approximately 700 candidates meet with around 60 employers from across Torbay at the Jobs Fair. The businesses share permanent, temporary and apprenticeship opportunities with their company.
TDA, in partnership with Torbay Council and JobCentre Plus, deliver the successful event.
Connor Conneely, Economic Development Officer at TDA, said: “We receive positive feedback from the employers and candidates who attend the Torbay Jobs Fair. With a good mix of candidates, who are suitable to progress to interview, it is a very popular event. There will be live vacancies on offer, from local employers across all sectors including hospitality, care, construction and retail. We welcome anyone looking for employees to fill their permanent, temporary and apprenticeship positions.”
TDA will also be showcasing the range of business support it provides to local employers to help them develop, grow and take on more employees. Jobcentre Plus Work Coaches will be available throughout the day to support and help people with CV’s. Job applications will be available in Torquay Jobcentre.
The organisers are keen for employers to promote any active vacancies they may have at the time of the event.
