Visit South Devon recently launched South Devon Food and Drink Producers membership scheme to help showcase the wonderful local delights in the region.

Over the past few years there has been an increase in local producers who are turning the fruits, vegetables and plants grown throughout the region into marvellous fruit juices, beers, wines, spirits, and fizzy drinks.

From grapes grown on riverbanks, gin distilled in coastal communities and juices pressed and bottled on the very farms that grow the fruits, there is now award winning locally sourced produce showcasing the best of South Devon.

To support these businesses, Visit South Devon has created a new membership scheme – South Devon Food and Drink Producers. The new scheme is a cost-effective way of supporting and showcasing the fantastic food and drink offer in the area. The scheme consists of a website listing on the very successful www.visitsouthdevon.co.uk under a new dedicated section South Devon Food and Drink Producers. Targeted Blogs will be developed throughout 2022/3 focusing on local produce and sustainable tourism. Dedicated press updates will be distributed on Local Produce in South Devon. In addition, there will be targeted consumer newsletters focusing on South Devon Producers sent out to a distribution list of almost 14,000.

The new membership scheme already has sign up from Dartmoor Brewery, Exeter Gin, Yarde Farm Ice cream, Sandridge Barton – Sharpham Wines, Dartmoor Distillery, Lyme Bay Winery and Salcombe Brewery.

Jo Butler, General Manager of Visit South Devon

“We are delighted to launch this new membership scheme to help support the wonderful array of local food and drink businesses in the South Devon region. We want to help give them a platform to showcase their offering to new and existing visitors to the region.”
