Torbay Rocks is coming to Torre Abbey Museum next Saturday, 12th January 2018 through to the 24th March 2018. Your perfect antidote to the January blues.
The fascinating exhibition features a plethora of music memorabilia from the archive of local personality, Lionel Digby.
Torbay best music and club promoters
Lionel was regarded as one of the Bay’s best music and club promoters throughout the 60s and 70s. Responsible for bringing some of the biggest bands of the time to the Torbay scene.
The exhibitions promises to showcase many of the artefacts that have remained unseen. Artefacts include posters and photographs.
Cllr Nicole Amil, Executive lead for Tourism, Culture and Hospitality said:
“This is a fantastic exhibition for Torre Abbey and is steeped in recent local history. Lionel has done many interesting things in his life including meeting world famous bands that visited the Bay during the 60s and 70s. It is great that he will be able to tell some of these stories through this wonderful exhibition.”
