Torquay Christmas Carnival 2018 – Road Closures

Christmas is just around the corner and here in Torbay, Union Square Shopping centre has already rolled out its lights.

Torquay Town Centre has also put its lights up from the top of Union Street all the way down to the harbour and beyond.

All this festive spirit must mean one thing, its getting closer to the Christmas Carnival weekend.

Torquay Christmas Carnival Road Closures

In light of the Torquay Christmas Carnival, Torbay Council have issued a number of road closures.

These road closures will be in effect from Saturday 17th November from 12 noon until 4:30pm.

Fleet Walk will be closed to all traffic from 12 noon on Saturday the 17th until after the carnival has passed

All busses will be diverted

Carnival Arrangements

The Torquay Christmas Carnival Parade will leave Torquay Coach Station at approximately 16:30 (4:30pm).

From here it will then proceed through Torre, Trematon Avenue, turning right passed the town hall.

It will then continue down Union Street and onto Fleet Walk, along The Strand before turning around and heading towards the Princess Theatre.

The Christmas carnival will conclude at the Princess  Theatre.

All roads are expected to be open at 8:00pm.

It is recommended that you take an alternative route if you are using either one of the roads mentioned above.

Diversions will be in place.
