After 12 years at the helm Steve Parrock, the Chief Executive of the TDA has announced that he will be stepping down on the 10th of June.
Vince Flower, Chairman of TDA Board said “Steve was instrumental in establishing the current business model. Under his leadership, TDA Group has grown from a council department into a trading company. It has quadrupled in size, and it is now an award-winning organisation that successfully provides professional property services and economic services to a wide range of clients across the southwest of England.
The company has consistently delivered profits, all of which have been reinvested into Torbay’s economy, creating, and sustaining jobs and businesses across South Devon. Steve leaves the company in an outstanding position, and on behalf of the Board we wish him all the best for the future.”
Steve Parrock said: “It truly has been a pleasure and privilege to have worked alongside so many talented people for the last 12 years and to have seen TDA grow. Hundreds of businesses have been assisted by TDA and whilst the projects we’ve delivered are too numerous to mention, they include EPIC, Brixham Fish Market, Claylands Business Park, and Cockington Court, a special craft innovation centre close to my heart.
Overall, since start-up we have successfully delivered a capital programme well in excess of £250m, leveraging in tens of millions of pounds in economic grants from the EU and UK Government. We have also encouraged significant inward investment and helped Torbay Council create a £200m Investment Portfolio, generating significant rental returns for local residents.
Most importantly, TDA has provided the confidence and expertise within Torbay to deliver sustained growth and development. I would especially like to express my gratitude to the Board of TDA and our staff, who have tirelessly supported me and the leadership team over many years.”
An interim replacement will be announced shortly, and further information will follow.
