Taking Social Media to the Edge
You’ve followed them on social media, you’ve listened to them on the radio….. And now, for the first time ever, you can go to the conference!
This isn’t just any conference…. Oh no… This is the Torbay Hour Social Media Conference!
The brainchild of Torbay Hour’s very own Sophie, plans are now well underway behind the scenes for the 17th April. Yep, Friday 17th April folks. Save the date!
If you are wondering what the idea of this is, let’s take a look…
Who?
Well, if you are reading this, then this is probably for you! If you follow #TorbayHour in any way, shape or form, then this will be a fantastic networking event for you, your organisation or business that you really wouldn’t want to miss.
What?
A one-day conference exploring how social media is changing the face of marketing & promotion within our community and the opportunity to network and take part in various workshops. From complete beginners, to those who want to learn new tricks of the trade, there will be valuable information and workshops to suit everyone.
Where?
In beautiful Brixham! The conference is being held at “The Edge” – the home of Brixham ‘YES’ – a disused church now acting as a community hub. We can get 100 people there, and there’s parking close by. Or you could always hop on the ferry if you are in Torquay!
When?
Friday 17th April. Save the date! Put one of those ticker things on your phone guys and remember, the sooner you book your place, the more likely you are to get in!
Why?
To bring local organisations and businesses together share their knowledge and to support each other through the use of social media.
Like the sound of this so far? Then read on….
The Torbay Hour Social Media Conference, we believe, will be the very first of its kind in the country so this is a fantastic opportunity to attend and be involved. And, unlike conventional social media conferences and/or training, Â this one will very much focus on local people and businesses supporting each other and sharing information.
Supported by Outset Torbay & Torbay Social Media Cafe, and sponsored by the Herald Express & Westwood Housing, there will be tons of coverage in the press and on social media before and during the event. So basically keep looking and listening for updates!
All good things come with a price! But at £35.00 per delegate for the whole day, this is money well spent.  And you get lunch included too! Tickets will be available on the Torbayhour website this week:
Or, what about joining other sponsors & getting your business onto the official programme? How cool would that be?! It’s just £100 which in turn enables 3 places to be given to voluntary organisations, or new start-ups, who otherwise would be unable to attend. Think about it!
And finally, you also get to meet the great team of people behind Torbay Hour!
Now then, what are you doing on the 17th April……….?
