A dedicated fund raiser and her team have presented £1,000 to Torbay Hospital.

Pat Burkitt, a former patient, presented Lee Merry, Senior Nurse Practitioner, on Ricky Grant Day Unit, with the money raised from an array of special events including raffles, quizzes a Santa Sunday and many other activities.

Lee said:

“We can’t thank Pat and her team enough for their relentless fundraising over the years for the Ricky Grant Day Unit.  They are an exceptional team and their donations make a big difference to the patients who attend the unit for treatment.”

The Ricky Grant Unit, run by Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, is a haematology/oncology day centre providing chemotherapy and associated treatments, education and advice on an outpatient basis.
