The last day for the most of the school kids in Torbay is Friday 25th May 2018, and to ensure your little ones don’t get too bored over the week.
We’ve put together some of the activities and events that will be going on throughout the May holiday.
Half term in Torquay
From the freezing cold temperatures of Torquay’s Ice Fest at Kents Cavern, to celebrating with Dinosaurs.
Torquay has plenty to offer this half term so grab your teddy bear, reach for that treasure and come on down.
Ice Fest at Kents Cavern
Torbay has recently experienced its very own version of an Ice Age in the form of Beast from the East.
However, with Spring now finally in full control, head over to Kents Cavern this half term and learn about the last Ice Age and beasts that lived.
Featuring a plethora of activities including Ice Age Animal Hunt, Spear throwing, fire making, shelter making and more.
There is something for everyone at Kents Cavern this half term.

Trash or Treasure at Living Coasts
Plastic pollution of our seas is a major problem for the sea and also for the marine life.
This half term, take a trip down to Living Coasts and discover how marine plastic pollution is affecting them.
Experience a range of puppet show, play the Trash or Treasure game and take part in a beach clean.
To take part in a beach clean, simply grab a bucket from the main entrance and head to Beacon Cove.
Fill the bucket with litter and bring it back to us, a free coffee or tea awaits you in the Terrace Caffe.
Birthday Party with the Dinosaurs
A birthday party that has been some 65 million years in the making, at Torquay Dinosaur World this half term.
Torquay Dinosaur World turns 8 years old this half term and is inviting you all to celebrate with Toby T-Rex, Derek Deinonychus an their friends.
Enter the dinosaur exhibition and become a certified Dinosaur Expert and earn yourself a free 100-million year old fossil.
Dinosaur World are also giving you the opportunity win your very own Dinosaur World goodie bag.
Teddy Bear Picnic at Bygones
Head to Bygones this half term and journey back to the 19th Century.
The 19th Century was time when Queen Victoria ruled over Great Britain and her ever expanding empire.
Walk round the museum, find all the teddy bears and then name the Victorian object for a chance to win a prize.
Make your teddy bear famous by simply taking a photo of your favourite bear inside Bygones.
Bygones will then post this picture out via their social media channels and you could win another amazing prize.

Half term in Paignton
Enjoy half term in Paignton, from having tea with the tigers and lions at Paignton Zoo. To taking to the skies at the Torbay Air Show.
Make sure you also visit Occombe Farm to find out where your food comes from.
Tea with the Tigers at Paignton Zoo
Love Tigers? How about having tea with them, you’re not on the menu.
Tea with the Tigers event is a sold out and is perfect for children aged 8.
Spend the evening with big cats and learn all about the majestic tigers and lions that live at Paignton Zoo.
You will be able to watch them at feeding time, meet their keepers and enjoy informative presentations.
All this plus tea and a delicious slice of cake.
Paignton Zoo Tea with the tigers stats at 7:00pm and ends at 9:00pm.

Torbay Airshow
Take to the skies this half term and you will be at the Torbay Airshow.
Back for its 3rd year, the Torbay Airshow, features both new aircraft in the skies, along with the return of family favourites.
New aircraft for this year include the Vampire Pair and BAC Strikemaster.
You can also expect the return of The Blades, and the Red Arrows.
On the ground visit a plethora of stalls, stands, bars, display teams and activities for the whole family.
The Torbay Airshow is an excellent way to round off an amazing half term holiday.
Farm2Fork Day – Occombe Farm
Ever thought about where your food comes from?
Occombe Farm are running an amazing Farm2Fork day, an opportunity for you to find out just where your food comes from.
During the Farm2Fork Day try your hand at baking and learn about what makes an organic farm special and more.
Tickets cost just £22.00 and can be booked in advance.

Half Term in Brixham
Visit the quaint and picturesque town of Brixham this half term, and get set for a whole lot of fun and excitement.
From coming dressed as a Pirate on a Thursday, the atmosphere of Brixfest to testing your knowledge at the Brixham Museum Quiz night.
BrixFest 2018
Kick start your half term holiday with a bang with a visit to Brixham, for Br.
Now in its 7th year, BrixFest offers 4 days of back to back music, fun, entertainment, stalls and more.
Start on the Saturday with their grand fireworks display, enjoy live music with headline acts including the awesome 3BF.
Watch the DragonBoat Challenge, last year victory was claimed by the Buoys n Belles, can they be beaten this year?
On Monday, head over for Children’s Day at the Breakwater Beach with face painting, petting zoo, theatre workshops and a whole lot more.

Tickets are just £5.00 and you can enjoy a complementary drink and dive into a selection of nibbles.
Brixham Museum Quiz Nights are open to both residents and non residents a like.
Be a Pirate, on a Thursday
Grab your favourite bottle of rum and sing along to your favourite shanty in Brixham this half term.
Pirate Thursdays are days of untold pirate mischief held under the Old Fish Market at Brixham’s beautiful harbour side.
Take part in engaging and interactive events including soak the pirate, balloon modelling, puppet shows, arts and crafts workshops.
This event is completely free and is a great way to spend time and experience Brixham.
