Paignton Library is excited to be hosting its second Local Author Convention on Saturday 11th March, 10am –2pm. The aim is to promote, support and encourage books written by local authors from Torbay and Devon. Throughout the day there will be talks, activities, and readings to enjoy as the opportunity for book sales and signings. The visiting authors cover a range of genres from children’s, young adults, memoirs, crime and much more. Confirmed authors so far include Sally Arnold, Don
Evitts, Dawn Fallon, Arthur Gordon, Tom Leins, Alexander Macpherson, Kelsang Pawo, Samantha Williams, Rosalind Wulf, and Pam Vince with Cap’tn Blackheart.
We hope it will be a day where you can explore new books to read, network with authors, and be inspired to write your own! The winner of our first flash fiction competition will also be invited to read their story at the event. Look out on our Paignton Library Facebook page for a timetable of the day and more information about our attending authors. There is something for all ages.
