f you may not know that Boost Torbay also has its very own LinkedIn Group, so I am going to tell you a little about it.
First of all though, I would like to say Hello to everyone, who, like myself, has joined the Group recently. And for those who haven’t done so yet – why not get on board too?

Okay, I think we can all agree that online social networking has exploded in recent years, yes? Â For many of you, however, when thinking about social networking, the first, and possibly only thing that springs to mind will be Twitter and Facebook. But there is another kid on the block!
LinkedIn is a social network primarily for business professionals, and, unlike Facebook and Twitter, revolves around one of the most important aspects of your life – your work. And, whichever way you look at it, most of us have, need or want to work!
In contrast to many other social networking sites, Linkedin is designed specifically for professional networking.
Linkedin allows you to network with other people in your particular industry or specialist area, offering a platform to reach out to others users who may be able to help you. It might be that you are looking for a job; looking to recruit; want to increase sales leads or connect with potential business partners. It’s all there waiting for you.
So what can the Boost Torbay Group do for you?
The Boost Torbay LinkedIn Group aims to act as a virtual message board – a forum where people with similar interests in the Bay can gather together and post comments, jobs, links, or articles. Oh, and ask questions. Yes, this is a great place to ask your very own question and have it answered by someone in your specialist field or with a particular talent. It might be that you are looking for a new supplier, or wanting advice on a technical issue?
Through the Group you can network with other individuals who share your same passions and interests. You can start your own discussions, post jobs or look for work, and let people know about the latest developments within your business. Or, it might be that you might just want to share snippets of information, or news items, which you think will be of interest to the people of Torbay.
