Give us a kiss…

Admit it, you did that in a kind of parrot voice over didn’t you… no?  Just us then…

It’s not very often folk have something to celebrate on a Monday unless your football team beat your bosses team over the weekend and in which case that is definitely something to subtly rub in his face, note we’re not responsible for P45s thereafter.

No today is a lovely day, the day for grabbing your loved one and giving them a big smooch.  It’s International Kissing Day which has recently become a world wide phenomenon and is more commonly known as National

Kissing Day.

There have been various competitions held across the world for the longest kiss.  When we think about it how long do we spend giving our partners a kiss?  A minute, 2 minutes?  I guess it all depends on the situation and what he/she is doing at that time.  Perhaps if a mean dinner has been cooked by either side that warrants a longer than 1 minute kiss.

The longest record for a kiss is held by a couple called Ekkachai and Laksana Tiranarat whom held a kiss for 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds – surely they had sore lips after?

Hold up single people don’t panic if you have not got a partner, you could always ask a close friend for some kissing techniques, you never know it might be the perfect opportunity to ask for a date or an evening out. Failing that cast your mind back to when you had your first kiss, what can you remember from it…

For me, admittedly I was 5/6 at the time, I can remember giving her a kiss on the cheek under the blossom covered tree in my school playground, followed by a slap in the face from her… she was my very first girlfriend at primary school.

If you and your partner are up for a bit of kissing later on, why not see if you can beat the record.
