Sisters, Claire and Charlie Cooper have always been close.

However, they are about to embark on a 120mile (189km) walk which will literally see them tied together at the ankle, three legged style.

Walking in memory of three very special Mums who have left us too soon, Catherine, Harriet & Cindy.

The duo are due to start their journey from Wembury on the 31st March, Mothers Day 2019 and aim to make it to Lynmouth in North Devon on the 7th April 2019.

Speaking, Charlie said:

“We have decided to do this 3-legged to represent the closeness of friendships and how, nothing is impossible when you have a buddy by your side. We will be walking approx 20 miles a day and aim to make it across, however long it takes! We will be raising money for Rowcroft Hospice and Cancer Research and would love your support. If anyone fancies joining us for part of the walk, doing part of it tied to another or simply sharing our fundraising site, our sponsorship page link is as follows”

Th walk will help raise vital funds for Rowcroft Hospice, whom look after over 2,000 patients every year across a 300sq mile area of South Devon.

Over 3/4 of the care that is provided by the hospice is done so at the patients homes.

Rowcroft Hospice are committed to making every day the best day possible, especially for people living with life-limiting illnesses and providing comfort and support to their families.

Debbi Shotton, Community Fundraiser at Rowcroft said:

As a local charity the support of the community is so important to us – we rely on voluntary donations for over 70% of our costs. We are very grateful to Charlie and Claire for choosing to support us through this challenge. The funds raised for us will help us provide care and support to patients and their loved ones across South Devon atthe most difficult of times.

Show your support for duo by donating what you can via the this page.
