Riviera Tuition began back in 2010 at our kitchen table. 6 years later, we now have 17 tutors, all of whom are fully qualified teachers, offering 1-2-1 tuition at client’s homes around the Torbay and Teignbridge area. In 2014, we opened our tuition centre on The 
Terrace in Torquay – not only do we have fabulous views and look out over Torbay, we teach 150 children every week in our group sessions from our classrooms there. It is a busy little hub of learning!
We offer tuition from the age of 4 with our KS1 tutors are who trained to deliver Phonics and Maths in a very engaging way that is suited to the younger learner. Our primary tutors deliver the entire curriculum and give our pupils the boost they need in English and Maths. We also offer 11+ tuition and we are very proud of our 83% pass rate which stems from effective teaching and 11+ mock exam that arm the children with the knowledge of what to expect in the real thing.
Secondary tuition sees tutors with specialised degrees in their subject offering tuition from KS3 up to A level. Helping the ordinary teenager develop their confidence, achieve their goals and leave school with GCSEs that they can be proud of. In recent years, we have also worked with Torbay Council and Devon County Council offering tuition to those children who are in care or who cannot attend school for medical reasons. Our relationship supporting the councils meet local children’s needs continues to grow and we are thrilled that we can offer these children the education that they deserve despite their lives taking unexpected turns
