A group of dare devil fund raisers have raised a whopping £10,000 for Rowcorft Hospice.
The dare devils are challenging themselves and others to abseil Over the Edge – The Drop.
50ft Higher than last year
The drop is a 50ft higher than what it has been in previous years and now measures a rather impressive 150ft off the side of a crane.
Yes you did read that right, a crane.
Sharon Foster from Torquay said:
I did a sponsored 15,000ft skydive last year to raise funds for Rowcroft and decided that this would be my next fundraising challenge!”
I was really nervous but had the support of my best friend Natalie. I think it was even scarier than the skydive but I absolutely loved it and I feel proud to have done it.
The event took place on Saturday the 7th April and was set in the stunning grounds of Rowcroft hospice.

Rowcroft Hospice provides a plethora of services for inpatients, their families and the community as a whole. As a charity, they rely on donations.
