Devon and Cornwall Police have formally arrested two adults on suspicion of child neglect after a small child, aged between 1 and 2 was found in Main Avenue in Torquay.
The police were called on the 2nd January at 1:25pm to reports of a young child being found in the street who was thought to be aged between 1 and 2.

The parents have been located and the boy is safe and well. Police investigations are ongoing.
Police officers went on to locate the parents.
A woman in her 40s and a man in his 30s have today, January 3rd 2019, been arrested on suspicion of child neglect.
They will remain in police custody and will be interviewed by specialist child protection officers.
