In celebration of the charity’s 40th anniversary, Rowcroft Hospice is holding a magnificent ‘Ruby Ball’ at The Grand hotel in Torquay on Friday 9 December with all profits going to care for patients across South Devon. The evening promises an enchanting night of entertainment with live music by Joey the Lips funky ten-piece band as well as a fabulous fun casino, a silent live auction, a raffle full of fantastic prizes, a cheese and port room, and the option to be treated to a sumptuous three-course dinner.

“This amazing ball offers everyone the chance to celebrate Rowcroft’s 40 years of caring for our community and to swing full speed ahead into the Christmas spirit with a fantastic live band and a great party atmosphere!” said Rowcroft’s Events and Projects Fundraiser Georgie Harris. “Prepare to dress to impress, enjoy the merry-making and dance the night away! Book your tickets now and treat yourself and your friends to this glamorous night to remember while raising much-needed funds for the hospice.

“Money raised from the ball will be used to care for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families across South Devon, supporting them through the hardest days imaginable, especially over the Christmas period. As a charity facing these challenging economic times where the need for our care has never been greater, money raised from this ball will make a real impact in funding our services and will enable our dedicated nurses and care teams to deliver care, compassion and comfort to local patients, helping them to make every day the best day possible.”

Conroy Couch Jewellers of Torquay are the main sponsors for the event. David Rowe, director of the jewellers, said:

“Conroy Couch Jewellers are privileged to be the headline sponsor for this very special Rowcroft Ruby Ball in December. Rowcroft is close to the heart of most families in the South West, no less so than to the Rowe family. As such we were delighted when we were approached with this opportunity to support such a fantastic local charity. We are looking forward to the evening which is set to be full of wonderful entertainment, friendship, wining and dining along with dress to impress and not forgetting those gems!”

The dress code for the evening is black tie, and there are two types of ticket available, both of which include a complimentary drink on arrival. The £70 dinner ticket includes a three-course meal and can be booked by calling Georgie Harris on 01803 217419 or email [email protected] and the after-dinner ticket is priced at £35 and can be purchased via Rowcroft’s website at www.rowcrofthospice.org.uk/rubyball
