Brixham Future is delighted to announce that the winner of its latest Brixham Lottery is Mr. Fred Bates, a local resident and WW2 Veteran. Fred, as he likes to be known, recently celebrated his 105th Birthday at a public celebration in the local Scala Hall attended by local residents, family friends and relatives from throughout the country.

Many people bought Fred a Brixham Lottery Card instead of the traditional Birthday card. It is believed that the target of 105 Cards – one for each year – was reached. Fred has yet to decide if he wishes to have Lifetime Membership of the National Trust or the £1,000 cash prize.

The Brixham Lottery Card is an ideal present for any occasion. The new Lottery Card for the Christmas /New Year period is now on sale and has a first prize of £1,000 of Jewellery, chosen from any of Doble Jewellery shops or a cash alternative of £500. Previous Card winners have won a WW2 Spitfire flight (543 tickets sold), a luxury cruise for 2 people (345 tickets sold), an electric bike (331 tickets sold), a Lifetime Membership of the National Trust (525 tickets sold) or alternative cash prizes amounting to thousands of pounds.

Chief organiser John Rudden says :

“People know that our Lottery Cards make an excellent alternative to ordinary cards. Brixham residents can see the outcomes with new local murals, floral displays, small projects and our planned future free public celebrations. The Brixham Lottery Card also supports other local activities such as the World War 1 and World War 2 commemorative Shadows artworks in the Town Centre and other local improvements. One hundred percent of profits generated goes to a local project or good cause.”

The latest Brixham Lottery gift card tickets are available until 27th December in a wide range of local Brixham shops including on Middle Street at Flour Flower Cafe & Florist, Shells, Colours of Brixham Art Shop, Chris Slack Photography or on Fore Street at Doble Jewellers, Trinity Cakes or the Chart Room (Foundry Court) etc.

The Promoter of the Brixham Lottery John Brennan says:

“ The odds of winning with our Lottery Card tickets are excellent and people can see where the Lottery Card money goes. Even if you don’t win – you are getting something out of it locally. If people buy several Ticket Cards for family and friends they increase their chances dramatically. And of course everyone is welcome to buy Fred a Lottery Card rather than a Christmas Card. He is feeling very lucky!”
